In collaboration with teachers and preschool educators, alumni, and the Faculty of Teacher Education, the second Alumni Event titled “Inspiration from Practice: Ideas That Matter” was organized. Eleven participants took part, presenting a variety of topics, with the goal of having teachers and educators showcase proven teaching tools and methods from real-life practice. This allowed students to learn from concrete examples involving games, digital tools, posters, or videos — in short, anything that yields results in working with children. Each presenter was given a few minutes to introduce their chosen method or teaching aid.
Brankica Miletić from “Leposavić” Primary School presented her “Montessori Alphabet Book” with a practical demonstration of its significance in teaching. Following her, preschool teachers Svetlana Milosavljević and Dragana Milićević from the “Veselo detinjstvo” Preschool Institution presented on the topic “Planet Earth.” Then, teacher Suzana Zečević from “Leposavić” Primary School shared her topic “From Grain to Knowledge – A Spring of Hope and Kindness.”
The fourth speaker was Nevena Milanović from “Jovan Cvijić” Primary School in Zubin Potok. Her topic, “Saint Sava – A Wise Head,” was approached through integrated and thematic teaching methods.
Fifth in line were preschool teachers Radmila Đorđević and Radica Jovanović from “Naša radost” Preschool in Leposavić, who presented “Through Play and Rules to Education.”
After them, Mirjana Zarković and Aleksandra Anđelković from the “Danica Jaramaz” Preschool in Kosovska Mitrovica presented “Spreading Love” and “Circles of Friendship.”
The final presentation came from teachers Batica Nikolić and Slaviša Bogićević from “Vuk Karadžić” Primary School in Sočanica, who spoke on “Web Tools – Recognizing and Preventing Violence.” We all took part in a workshop designed as a quiz using the Kahoot platform, aimed at education for violence prevention.
Following the presentations by our alumni, we opened the floor for discussion. Students and alumni had the opportunity to ask questions and engage with the presenters.
We concluded that the event was a great success, sparking new ideas for future meetings and events within the Alumni Club of the Teacher Training Faculty.
