On December 3, 2024, the University of Mitrovica hosted an Erasmus+ Info Day in its Rectorate, aimed at promoting European Union programmes dedicated to education, training, youth, and sports, as well as announcing new project calls for the 2024/2025 academic year under the Erasmus+ program. The event gathered distinguished participants, including the Rector of the University of Mitrovica, Prof. Dr. Nebojša Arsić, Mr. Goran Lazić, Project Officer at the Erasmus+ Office in Kosovska Mitrovica, representatives from the International Relations Office, Erasmus+ faculty coordinators, project coordinators, faculty members, and students.

The event was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Nebojša Arsić, who highlighted the strategic importance of the Erasmus+ program in advancing and reforming the University. He presented the University’s achievements through its participation in Erasmus+ initiatives and underscored the administration’s commitment to supporting staff in preparing and implementing projects. The Rector encouraged faculty and students to actively engage in these efforts, emphasizing their role in fostering the University’s development and internationalization.

During the Info Day, the University presented its two coordinating projects ,,PELMOB and DGTRANS’’ and one partner project ,,AL4LIFE” approved under the 2022 Erasmus+ call. In-depth overview of the three projects, including their detailed work plans, specific objectives, implemented activities, consortium members, and upcoming activities were presented by assistant professor Aleksandra Pertović (PELMOB and DGTRANS) and Valentina Draškić (AL4LIFE) project.

Additionally, Mr. Goran Lazić, Project Officer at the Erasmus+ Office in Kosovska Mitrovica, provided comprehensive information on the upcoming Erasmus+ project call for the 2025 cycle, offering guidance on submission procedures and opportunities for participation.

This event exemplified the University’s dedication to leveraging Erasmus+ as a key instrument for enhancing its academic and research capacities, fostering international collaboration, and engaging its community in transformative educational initiatives.
