From 23rd to 27th March, workshops were held at the Faculty of Arts as part of the Erasmus+ mobility program, led by visiting professor Irma Aribas Peres from the European Institute of Design in Barcelona.

The program was carried out in the Gallery and art class of the Faculty of Arts and ten students from different study programs were participating (Aleksandra Ničić, Anastasija Aksić, Aleksandra Mirković, Teodora Rakočević, Vladimir Mikać, Tijana Jakovljević, Nađa Janačković, Anastasija Kostić, Stefan Boškoćević i Nikola Milićević). The thematic framework of workshops was “Space as the medium of communication” during which students had an opportunity to explore the role of space in conveying meaning in fields of art, music and design.

The program began with introductory lecture and joint workshop during which students collaborated with professor and define the project task. In the following days, the work was organized through intensive work sessions based on practical work and learning through creative process. Students were developing their project through researching key elements such as the selection and shaping of space, the creation of body movements, as well as creation and process of the sound environment. Their project task was associated with art class space and all the elements of that space (floor, walls, furniture, objects, lighting…).

On the final day, the presentation of video works and discussion, which enabled the exchange of ideas and an overview the entire creative process, were organized.

The program represents important contribution to the improvement of teaching and development of interdisciplinary approach in education, giving students the opportunity to expand knowledge and gain experiences through collaboration with international lecturers.
