The University of Pristina in Kosovska Mitrovica intensively establishes academic ties with universities abroad, signing cooperation agreements with foreign universities and international organizations dealing with higher education, as well as actively participating in international scientific, capacity building and credit mobility projects and programmes.
Through signing bilateral agreements, the University has established cooperation with over 90 universities across Europe and the world.
The University is an initiator and participates actively in various national and international projects with the aim to promote further development of the higher educational system. The cooperation with many international governmental and non-governmental organizations engaged in the promotion of higher education has been established as well.
University of Pristina in Kosovska Mitrovica implementes its international activities and through its membership in the European University Association, Forum of Southeast Europe and Western Balkans, UNESCO’s network of universities and other organizations dealing with higher education.
At the autumn session of the EUA General Assembly, in Rotterdam on 23-25 October, 2008, the University of Pristina in Kosovska Mitrovica was admitted to full membership of the European University Association.
At the ceremonial session of the Magna Charta Observatory, at the University of Bologna, on September 17th, 2010, the University signed the Magna Charta Universitatum. Having signed the Magna Charta Universitatum, the University acknowledges its commitment and dedication to the fundamental principles inscribed in Magna Charta, as well as further promotion and development.
The University signed the new document of Magna Charta Universitatum, MCU2020, which came into force in June 2021. This new MCU document incorporates all the Magna Charta founding document’s original core values while also trying to resonate with contemporary challenges and concerns. By signing this new version of the charter, the University of Pristina in Kosovska Mitrovica affirms its responsibility for creating a sustainable future in which academic institutions will have a positive impact on the world and society.
University of Pristina in Kosovska Mitrovica actively applies and provides support to its faculties for participation in international, educational and research programmes: ERASMUS+, ERASMUS MUNDUS, HORIZON EUROPE, CEEPUS, WUS Austria, and others.
